How to carbonize briquettes by using briquette machine and furnace

How to Carbonize Briquettes
Carbonization is a very important process for making charcoal briquettes. Carbonization refers to destructive distillation of biomass briquettes (but before carbonization, briquette machine shall be used to produce materials for it.) on the anoxic conditions through which high temperature will decompose the components of briquettes by producing black substances, namely, charcoal. We are bound to mastering methods as follows:

Charcoal and briquettes
Charcoal and briquettes

First, no air leakage occurs to carbonizing furnace or earthen kiln.
Had it had airtight problems, oxygen input would have not been controlled. Hence, briquettes will be combusted spontaneously in an excessive way. Besides, the internal temperature will hit a high value, with the carbonized briquettes becoming porous and fragile. Worse still, superfluous oxygen supply will have part of briquettes burned into ashy powder therefore the output of charcoal will be on the decrease, with the investment put in vain. Drawn from the lesson, air leak shall be kept away.

Second, attention shall be paid to the fluctuation of furnace temperature.
On the one hand, we should comprehend that temperature rise lies in heat production within furnace or kiln due to briquette spontaneous combustion and decomposition producing a large amount of inflammable gas, and on the other, the connection between temperature rise and charcoal quality ought to be known.

Generally, on airtight conditions temperature goes up rapidly, with lower charcoal density yet higher fragility. And charcoal in this regard will wear fissures and cracks. However, under the circumstances briquettes will be carbonized just within a short time but with a higher monthly yield. This sort of charcoal is more suitable for catering, agriculture and other industrial use.

Slow temperature rise of the furnace or kiln will lead to a balanced change in the internal structure of briquettes with slack decomposition. Briquettes will thus be carbonized at a uniformly slow speed, with a stiff structure, glossy surface, fewer fissures and cracks yet high specific gravity, facilitating long-distance transportation. But the monthly yield is relatively low. This kind is seen fit for BBQ, hot pot and others.

Third, meticulous observation should be given to smoke plume from furnace exhaust pipe.
Smoke color and volume reflect the process of carbonization. As per theories and practices, the alternation of smoke both in color and volume is divided into three phases as follows:
Phase one, kindling and further drying. The furnace temperature sustains under 150 degrees centigrade, with black smoke plume spiraling up. Produced from furnace or kiln equipped with tar cooling device, the smoke color is tinted more lightly than that of the previous one.
Phase two, pre-decomposing. Temperature within the period remains around 150-270 degrees centigrade, with smaller smoke volume and faintly yellow color.
Phase three, decomposing. White diluted color smoke will become lighter, with the temperature staying between 270-400 degrees centigrade.
The less smoke volume goes, the sooner the process of carbonization will come to an end. Before opened, the furnace shall be kept shut down for a while for the purpose of charcoal cooling.

According to above, we can tell that the briquette machine and carbonizing furnace are two primary elements for obtaining charcoal. That is why more clients prefer to purchase of both briquette machine and furnace as a whole to establish a briquette-charcoal plant. THL carbonizing furnace offered by KINGMAN is a kind of ideal equipment to have wood briquettes undergo the course of anoxic distillation carbonization. Due to its rational structure, the furnace only needs small quantity of heat consumption. Adopting Superheated Stream cooling system, the furnace thus can speed up the cooling process, improve the quality of charcoal and reduce the production cycling time. KINGMAN can also offer you customized Furnace to cater to different demands for briquette carbonization.
