The influence of raw material moisture of straw briquetting machine on finished products
The briquette fuel made by straw briquetting machine is a new type of energy. When straw briquetting machine is produced, the moisture content of processed raw materials has a great influence on the density of finished products. The greater the moisture content, the smaller the density. However, it should be noted that this does not mean that straw briquetting machine has no restriction on moisture content. The moisture content of raw materials that meet the extrusion processing of straw briquetting machine can’t be higher than 40% or lower than 10%. If it doesn’t meet this moisture value range, other properties of finished products will be affected.
The effects of water contained in raw materials on the properties of finished products are as follows:
When the moisture content of raw materials is too high, the moisture easily forms an isolation layer between particles, which makes the layers unable to be closely combined; Part of the heat is consumed in excess water; The heated steam is too late to be discharged from the forming cylinder, and its volume expands, which forms a great steam pressure in the longitudinal direction of the forming cylinder. In the light case, the product will crack, and in the heavy case, the phenomenon of “blasting” will occur, and it will not be formed, and it will also endanger personal safety.
When the moisture content of raw materials is too low, which is not conducive to the plasticization and heat transfer of lignin, and is not easy to shape. Trace moisture can promote the softening and plasticizing of lignin; As a lubricant, water flows among biomass pellets, which reduces the friction between pellets. Through pressure, it is mixed with pectin and sugar to form colloid, which plays the role of adhesive and is easy to slide and embed.
Too high or too low moisture content is not conducive to compression molding. Proper moisture content can transmit pressure on the one hand, and act as a lubricant on the other hand, helping particles to fill and embed with each other, thus promoting the molding of raw materials. It should be noted that different molding methods have different requirements for the moisture content of raw materials. Only when the moisture content of raw materials is appropriate, can the straw briquetting machine process the ideal biomass fuel and achieve the ideal molding effect.
