Farmers in Hebei use straw briquette for heating

To promote the use of new energy, the government of Hebei vigorously advocates people to use recycled straw for heating. At present, there has been 1500 farmers in Qinghe County who use straw briquette for heating. By 2017, rural residents of the county can live cleanly in winter.

 

Straw briquette is a kind of new fuel which is made of all kinds of crop straw, sawdust, corncob, branches and leaves through briquetting and carbonizing of straw briquette machine. No emission is produced in the combustion of straw briquettes. In addition, biomass heating furnace can improve the combustion rate of straw briquette and the waste produced is only one-fifth of the coal. Government of Qinghe County encourages farmers to use clean and environmental friendly way of heating through financial subsidies.

 

The heat rate for direct combustion of biomass energy straw is less than 20%. However, the heat rate of straw briquettes produced by briquette machine reaches more than 40%, which greatly improves the utilization rate and saves the energy. What's more, the emission of carbon dioxide and dust of briquette fuel is much lower, which is of great significance to the rural environmental protection.

 

The fund for the investment of straw briquette machine for making new energy production line is not that much. If there are enough materials like straw, rice husk, branches, bark, wood chips, sawdust, then they can be used in straw briquette machine for new energy production.
