What's the features of high quality machine made charcoal?

As a machine made charcoal manufacturer, it is the top priority to make high quality charcoal, so what features does the high-quality machine made charcoal have?

briquette machine and charcoal

1. The ash content of machine made charcoal produced by briquette machine varies with the process and temperature of carbonization. The so-called ash content refers to the white or pink material left after the charcoal is all burnt. It directly affects the use and economic value of charcoal. For example, materials such as straw and rice husk have large ash content, and do not fall off easily when burning, which results in low temperature when burning that they are not suitable to be used in the daily life or as industrial charcoal. But for wood and its leftover materials, there is not much difference in the ash content after carbonizing. Generally speaking, under the same conditions above, the charcoal made of broad-leaved forest is higher than that of coniferous forest, and the ash content of charcoal made of raw material with a large proportion of bark is also larger. The usual charcoal ash is 1 ~ 4%.

2. The content of volatile components depends on the carbonization temperature. According to different uses, low, medium and high temperature charcoal are produced. The volatiles, such as CO, CO2, H2, CH4 and gaseous carbonhydrate, would be released by the former when calcined at high temperature, generally 12 ~ 20%. High temperature charcoal releases less of the above volatile, its content is generally less than 5%.

3. The heat generated per kilogram of machine made charcoal under certain conditions is expressed in kilocalorie. The calorific value of charcoal is directly related to the carbonization temperature and heat preservation time. Under the same condition of carbonization temperature and heat preservation time, the calorific value of different raw materials varies. Generally speaking, the calorific value is higher under high carbonization temperature and long heat preservation time.

When the carbonization temperature is lower than 450℃, the calorific value of charcoal made by wood and its leftover material is usually between 6500 ~ 7000kcal/kg, and the calorific value of straw and rice husk charcoal is commonly 6000kcal/kg. When the carbonizing temperature is higher than 600℃, the calorific value of charcoal made by these materials can be improved by 500 ~ 1000kcal.
