How to guarantee the quality of briquettes produced by briquette press

How to make high quality briquettes? There are three main factors that would influence the quality of biomass briquettes produced by briquette press. They are dried raw material, qualified propeller and appropriate briquetting temperature.

1, The humidity of raw material
The briquettes have higher demand on the moisture of raw materials. Generally, the moisture content of raw material is between 5% and 12%. If the moisture content is less than 5%, the raw material conversion degree would be poor and the briquettes produced are not firm. If the moisture is more than 12%, the briquettes are soft and easy to bend, the density is also small. Usually, fresh materials (such as fresh bamboo, the branches) have the moisture content of about 50%. They need to be dried in the dryer for 1 to 2 times. If raw materials have been dried by the outdoor air or in the sun for 1-2 days, the drying time can be reduced to 1 time. Anyway, we must dry the raw material in order to make it meet the requirements of briquette press.
How to identify the moisture of raw materials? Generally speaking, we can make a rough identification through observe and feel. First, you would feel hot when touching the shell of the working separator by hand; Second, the material color should be yellow; grasp a handful of material and rub together, then release the palm and the raw materials should be scattered. If all the above requirements can be met, the raw materials are thought to meet the requirements. Of course, it is subject to the briquette press finally. If the propeller is normal and the briquettes produced can meet the requirements of product quality, then the moisture content is in the normal range.

2, The propeller
Propeller is qualified or not also determines the quality of the briquettes. Propeller is a quick wear part, the head face of the top part of which would wear seriously by the friction produced in the contact with the raw material in the process of high speed rotating. When the face angle gets smaller or the contact surface is rough with spots, the briquettes produced can not up to the standard. Then, we should repair the propeller according to the method taught by the manufacturer technician to make it meet the requirements of the indicators. It will be very easy to learn as long as the operator makes more practice. (Get to know more about the welding technology of propeller)

3, Working temperature of briquette press
The temperature of the forming cylinder is often controlled at 260℃ to 300℃. The temperature mainly depends on the raw material. First of all, we should know that the purpose of heating is to soften the lignin and increase the viscosity for the high pressure molding. If temperature is too high, the raw material would be over softening. Although the production speed is higher, the briquettes produced are not strong and soft. If the temperature is too low, the viscosity of raw material is poor, the briquette is not strong and easy to break. Generally speaking, the briquetting temperature of bamboo and wood is lower with 260℃ to 300℃. The temperature of straw and rice husk is 300℃to 320℃. Of course, the actual moisture content of raw material should also be considered when setting the temperature. The temperatures are different even with the same kind of raw materials, which should be regulated flexible by operators. In addition, the color of briquettes should not be too deep.
