The necessary condition for making good charcoal

The quality of charcoal also depends on the moisture contained in the raw material in addition to the briquette machine and production technology. Generally, the moisture content of raw materials is less than 10%. Therefore, the first work for making charcoal is to dry the raw materials. When drying the raw materials, the raw materials with higher moisture content can be put in the open air to dry for 1 to 2 days, and let the surface moisture evaporate so as to reduce the heating time and fuel consumption. Then, granularity qualified raw materials can be put into the hot air dryer for drying to make the moisture content less than 10%. The drying temperature is 140℃ ~ 300℃ or so commonly.



Making briquettes with briquette machine is an essential part for making good charcoal. There is the heating ring out of the molding sleeve of briquette machine. It can make the temperatures of molding sleeve rise to about 350℃. In order to guarantee the surface smoothness, high density and no crack of the briquettes, choose the suitable molding temperature according to the type and moisture content of the raw material. Generally speaking, we assume that each propeller of straw briquette machine is qualified and the moisture content of raw materials is 6 ~ 10%, the drying temperature varies according to the shape of the material and the model of heater, generally 140℃ ~ 500℃. The material temperature be controlled by adjusting the length of the drying tube and air distribution, generally not more than 55℃ ~ 70℃.
