Safety instructions in the use of carbonizing furnace

The process of carbonizing with carbonizing furnace is an important link of the whole system of charcoal production. The quality of briquettes (semi-finished products) after carbonizing directly determines the nature of the quality and the market price of charcoal. So how to make a reasonable and safe operation of the carbonizing furnace?

using of carbonizing furnace

The hazards and precautions of air leak in the process of using carbonizing furnace: the carbonizing furnace must be sealed when using. Once there is any air leak phenomenon, the amount of oxygen into the furnace is unable to be controlled that spontaneous combustion of briquettes inside the furnace are easy to happen and the carbonizing temperature rises too fast as well. As a result, the charcoal produced has loose texture and easy to crack. What’s more, too much oxygen would make part of briquettes burning into white powder (ash), leading to the loss of charcoal production and the quality of finished product is lower. Thus, users should operate the furnace in strict accordance with the instructions.

The carbonizing process can be divided into three stages: low temperature moisture eliminating, high temperature calcining and cooling. The briquettes produced by biomass briquette machine for sale have about 8% of moisture when putting into the carbonizing furnace. However, the moisture in the briquettes would seriously affect the quality of carbonization, so the moisture eliminating time is indispensable. Generally, the moisture eliminating time of earth kiln is about 10 to 15 hours and 2-3.5 hours of carbonizing furnace. Long heating time can prevent the moisture cracking of the briquettes and guarantee the quality of carbonization. A large amount of combustible gas can be produced in the furnace when the furnace temperature rises to 300 degrees. These gases can be heated up in the furnace. When the temperature is above 400 degrees, it can reach the thermal insulation and calcination stage. At the end of the whole carbonizing process, it is forbidden to discharge the charcoal at high temperature. Maintain ventilation in the furnace and the charcoal can be discharged at appropriate conditions. After collecting, stacking the charcoal to the warehouse is forbidden. Instead, users should cool the charcoal in open space within eight hours after discharging to avoid the fire caused by internal combustion of charcoal after discharging.
