How to make activated carbon with the carbonizing furnace?
Carbonizing furnace is the best equipment in the production of activated carbon. Activated carbon can be made from many kinds of materials containing carbon, including wood, sawdust, coal, coke, peat, lignin, kernel, hard nut shell, sucrose pulp, bone, lignite, petroleum residue, etc. Among which coconut shell has already become the most commonly used raw material in manufacturing activated carbon.
The manufacture of activated carbon is basically divided into two processes. The first process includes dehydration and carbonization. The raw material is heated and dried at 170 to 600℃ to carbonize about 80% of the original organic matter. The second process is the activation of carbon, which is completed by using the activator (water steam and carbon reaction). CO and H2 gas mixture is mainly produced in the endothermic reaction to burn and heat the carbon to proper temperature (800-1000℃) to burn off the decomposable material, and the resulting porous structure and huge specific surface area has strong adsorption capacity.
Activated carbon is mainly used for high-end air purification, waste gas purification, high pure water treatment, wastewater treatment, desulphurization and denitration of water treatment and it can effectively remove the impurities and contaminants in the gas and liquid as well as separation and purification of a variety of gas. It can also be widely used in all kinds of low boiling point substances adsorbed recycling, deodorization oil removal, etc.
Carbonizing furnace can be used for carbonization of log with high yield and good quality. It can also be used for the second time carbonization of recycled activated carbon, which is fast, time and labor saving. We provide different models of
briquette machine and carbonizing furnace with higher quality and lower price. Contact us by emails to get more information of our products.
